LIP BLUSH
$700 | 3 hours
(INCLUDES TOUCH UP)
Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances the lips' natural tint and shape, giving them a boost and a glossy touch. It's designed to define and outline your lips, not to actually make them fuller. It gives the illusion that they're fuller, but in a very natural way.
How long does lip blushing last?
Between 2 and 5 years, depending on how carefully you follow aftercare instructions and how many touch up sessions you have.
How long do lips take to heal?
4-7 days and then a further 7 weeks for the final colour to come through. I book a touch up appointment at 8 weeks for all my clients and is included in price
Does Lip Blush hurt?
Discomfort is minimal and a numbing cream is used to insure a painless procedure. This may vary depending on the individuals pain tolerance.
Are there any reasons why I may be ineligible for Lip Blush?
You must be 18+
As a safety precaution, we refrain from working on individuals who are pregnant.
There are certain restrictions involved with the Lip Blushing procedure and an online consultation is mandatory before booking in.
If you’ve received lip filler you must wait a minimum of 1 month before receiving your session.
WHAT COLOURS ARE LIP BLUSH AVAILABLE IN?
A wide range of tones in the pink, coral, and red families are available to create a customized shade. The colour will be chosen together looking at your base colour, how light or dark your lips naturally are and what tone we could likely achieve. A particular colour can never be promised as your natural undertones will come into play but a gorgeous tone, more even and full can be created.
PreCare
All clients are recommended to drink 2 litres of water in the 2 weeks leading up to their appointment. Exfoliate lips daily with oil and sugar for 3 weeks prior. A lip protective balm should be used nightly to lock in moisture. Lips that are dry will need two sessions sometimes three for best results.I strongly advise getting an antiviral tablet from your doctor and taking as precautionary measure before and a few days after the procedure to help minimise a cold sore outbreak – even if they have never had one. The trauma can stimulate an immune response resulting in an outbreak.
LIP BLUSH AFTERCARE
What to expect immediately following your Lip Blush procedure:
Intensified color and swelling are part of the initial stages of healing. Be patient. The intensity should regress within 3-4 days. Minimal scabbing and/or flaking may take place. Refrain from removing the scabs/flakes as you may run the risk of removing pigment in the process - it’s very important to keep the lips heavily hydrated with cream provided. The true vibrancy of your cosmetic tattoo will fade about 30-40% from what you walked out with revealing a soft and natural blush tone.
5 THINGS TO REMEMBER WHILE THE LIP BLUSH IS HEALING:
Avoid hot, spicy, and salty foods as it may cause added irritation
Avoid large bodies of water, direct sun exposure, teeth whitening, rubbing and smoking
Do not pick or scratch the lips as it may lead to a loss of pigment and/or scarring
Placing cosmetic products on unhealed lips is heavily discouraged
Texture is normal and is often experienced in the first few days of healing
